Town of Middlebury
Special Election
The electors of the Town of Middlebury are hereby warned to meet at their respective polling place in said town on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 for the purpose of casting their votes for Selectman to Fill Vacancy.
Notice is hereby given that the location of the polling place is as follows: Local District - Shepardson Community Center, 1172 Whittemore Road, Middlebury, Lower Level. Voting machines will be used. The polls will be open at 6:00 a.m. and will remain open until 8:00 p.m. on June 23, 2026. Absentee ballots will be counted at the following central location: Room 4, Shepardson Community Center, 1172 Whittemore Road, Middlebury.
During the 4-day early voting period before said election, the hours and location of early voting will be as indicated below.
Early Voting Location: Room 5, Shepardson Community Center, 1172 Whittemore Road, Middlebury
Early Voting will be open from 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 to Sunday, June 21, 2026, with no early voting on Friday, June 19, 2026, due to a state holiday enumerated in CGS Sec. 1-4.

Legal Notice
A certified list of the Republican party-endorsed candidate for the Town of Middlebury for election as Registrar of Voters will be on file with the office of the Secretary of the State, 165 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, Connecticut, and copies thereof will be available for public distribution. A Primary will be held August 11, 2026, with August 3rd through 9th for early voting, if the required primary petition(s) for opposition candidate(s) is filed, pursuant to Sections 9-382 to 9-450 of the Connecticut General Statutes, not later than 4:00 p.m. on June 9, 2026. Petition forms, instructions, and information concerning the procedure for filing of opposing candidacies, including schedules, may be obtained from: Nancy Robison, Republican Registrar of Voters, 1212 Whittemore Road, Middlebury, Connecticut.
