Annual Street Sweeping Program
The Department of Public Works will begin the annual street sweeping program on Monday April 1, 2024, weather permitting.

Street sweeping will begin on the east side of town and work through town in a westerly direction. This process is estimated to take approximately 20 working days to complete.  Residents are urged to refrain from on street parking until their street has been swept. Drivers are asked to use caution when passing the street sweeping operation in order to avoid endangering themselves or others.

Overview

Middlebury Public Works conducts and administers engineering, highway construction and maintenance, mechanical maintenance, parks maintenance, building maintenance/operations programs, the Transfer Station and includes oversight of sewer and water operations.

Public Works is responsible for the inspection and maintenance of public streets and highways, bridges, sidewalks, trees, storm sewers, mechanical maintenance and repairs to Town automobiles, trucks, and other rollingstock
