First Selectman's Office

Greetings Middlebury Residents, Business Owners and Visitors,

As a longtime resident of Middlebury, my fondness for the Town remains constant.  There are so many noteworthy things to appreciate within Middlebury.  Beautiful parks and walkways, our Greenway, old historic architecture and our picturesque New England Green all add to the pastoral charm of our Town.  Fun and enriching programs for youth, adults and seniors coupled with memorable annual events like our Memorial Day Parade, fireworks at Quassy, MRA beach outings, tree lighting on the Green and visits from Santa and the Easter Bunny – have all been enjoyed by generations.  These are foundational traditions at the heart of small town living.  I am dedicated to ensuring these important traditions continue for future generations to come.

Within the Town’s municipal operations, The Selectmen’s Office is committed to fostering a strong, favorable economic climate.  This dedication to the economic well-being of Middlebury directly translates to municipal enrichments and improvements.  Residents benefit from improved roadways, parks and grounds beautification projects and the preservation and maintenance of iconic and historic Town buildings.  Our educational system garners high ratings – often times being the driving factor for individuals relocating to our Town.  Municipal maintenance and safety services - Public Works, Police, Fire and Emergency Responders - are staffed and equipped to a high standard.  It is the financial strength of Middlebury which helps facilitate safe, pleasant, rural living for our residents.

The Selectmen’s Office is thankful for the wonderful residents and businesses who make our Town a great place to call home.  To the many volunteers, advocates and supporters of Middlebury – we thank you for your efforts and dedication.

On behalf of the Selectmen's Office, I welcome you to reach out for anything our office may be of assistance with.  The Selectmen’s Executive Secretary, Liana St. Germain, is happy to greet you as an initial point of contact.  Inquiries, comments or questions may be made via phone at (203) 758-2439 or via e-mail to lstgermain@middlebury-ct.org.  Additionally, visitors are always welcomed at the Middlebury Town Hall located at 1212 Whittemore Road.

Warm Regards,

Edward B. St. John
