Board of Assessment Appeals

Overview

The Board of Assessment Appeals [BAA] works on behalf of the town’s property owners who wish to dispute the assessment of their home or vehicle. The BAA‘s unbiased decisions are achieved by deliberation using the information provided by the property owner while under oath. The BAA is not part of the Assessor’s Office and functions independently from that office.  

The Board of Assessment Appeals meets in:

March for Personal Property & Real Estate application must be submited by Feburary 20th, (if the date falls on a weekend or Holiday the application must be in prior to the 20th)
September for Motor Vehicle (only)
