Art class is held every Friday at 9:30am. Instructor is Dolores Rose. Fee is $5 per class.
Jim Demeis, a Physical Therapist from Access Rehab will be at the Middlebury Senior Center to teach older adults strength training exercises on Friday afternoons from 12:30 to 1:30. Fee is $3.00 per class.
Our billiard room is open daily. There is no charge to play.
Bingo parties continue every Tuesday & Wednesday at 12:30 pm. Enhanced visual Bingo cards are available. Anyone interested in having our lunch before bingo should give us a two day notice. Lunch suggested donation is $3.50
The Middlebury Senior Center is currently accepting registration for its computer courses at the center. The series will offer four week and eight week courses on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. There is no age limit for computer training.
Also available is one-on-one lessons, subject to availability of time. These lessons will be on Thursdays only from 9:30am-1:30pm, by appointment only. The fee is $15.00 per hour.
If you need help with your IPAD, Nook, Kindle or other tablet, instruction is also available. Sean is also able to help you with viruses and malware for a nominal fee.

There is a free Blood Pressure screening every Tuesday done by our very own nurse Diane Morotto. Besides blood pressure screenings, Nurse Diane can help you with any questions you may have. The hours are 10:00am to 12:00pm. No appointment necessary.

Mah-jongg is a Chinese game for four players that is played using 144 domino-like tiles. Middlebury has mah-jongg games every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays at 10:30am; Thursdays @ 1:00pm & Tuesdays at 5:30pm. The fee is $1.00.
Medicare open enrollment is October 15th through December 7th. Check your medical plans to make sure they still fit your needs. Call the Middlebury Senior Center to schedule an appointment. Nancy Cimmino, Insurance specialist will be available for help with Medicare enrollment on Wednesdays, beginning October 1st.

Our office was previously informed the Social Security Office would no longer be providing benefit verification letters. Because of the many consequences to social security recipients, Social Security has decided to continue providing benefit verification letters in field offices until further notice.
Social Security may be contacted by calling the toll free number at 1-800-772-1213 or by setting up a “my Social Security account at SSA.gov.” Applicant must have a personal email account to request information online.
STAYWELL HEALTH CENTER
The Staywell Health Center will send Outreach workers to the Middlebury Social Services Center on the second Monday of each month until further notice to help our communities apply for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), (food stamps) at 10:00am.
To be eligible; according to household size:
One person in household cannot have a gross income of $1,800 per month:
Two people in a household cannot have a gross income of $2,425
Three people in a household cannot have a gross income of $3,052
Four people in a household cannot have a gross income of $3,678
A “household” is all the people who live together and buy and prepare food together.
You can just walk in….no appointment needed.

Join us on Fridays at 11:00am in the Media room at the Middlebury Senior Center where our friends are playing WII Bowling. It’s great fun and the exercise is good for us.
