H1 N1 CLINIC - Monday, January 11, 2010 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Shepardson Community Center, 1172 Whittemore Road, Middlebury, CT.

  PRE-REGISTRATION IS PREFERRED FOR THIS CLINIC;  CALL 203-577-4166 or 203-577-4011 BETWEEN 9:00 AM AND NOON TO REGISTER.  IF THERE IS NO ANSWER, PLEASE LEAVE A MESSAGE AND YOUR CALL WILL BE RETURNED.    H1N1 VACCINATIONS ARE FREE-OF-CHARGE.

TICKS- Engorged deer ticks can be sent for testing from the Middlebury Health Department. Please bring tick to the office in the lower level of Town Hall; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Wednesday 8:00 AM- 12:00 PM.

HEALTHY LIVING BOOKLET- A booklet designed by the Middlebury Department of Health, called Health for Overweight People through Education (HOPE), addressing the topic of overweight children and adults is available at Town Hall, the Library, Shepardson Community Center, Four Corner's Store, The Middlebury Racquet Club, and Kinetic Kids. This free booklet offers information on losing weight while enjoying a healthy lifestyle.

  • Diagnose and investigate health problems and health hazards in the community.
  • Inform, educate, and empower people about health issues.
