Edward B. St. John

First Selectman

Connecticut Department of Public Health Commissioner

Dr. Raul Pino signed an order declaring a temporary 30-day public water supply emergency for the  residents and businesses in portions of Middlebury, Wolcott and Watertown.  Water supply reservoirs are approaching critically low levels.

Under the current drought watch, an outdoor water ban prevents residents from washing their cars. Car washes are able to better conserve water. The Water Department is also urging residents to conserve water inside their homes by checking toilets for leaks and turningoff the water while brushing teeth or shaving.
